There are a lot of interesting things about the stripes of a zebra: from the way they deflect heat, to how they provide natural camouflage in the wild. My favorite thing though is that each animal has a completely unique set of stripes. The coloration and arrangement are different on every animal. How cool is that!? Lennon is definitely like a Zebra in that way, she’s one of a kind! Lennon absolutely loves zebra stuff lately. For her birthday, we repainted her room and put new sheets and a zebra-stripe comforter. She also had a surprise party with zebra accents. She’s grown SOO much in the last few years and watching her as she cares for her siblings, as she exudes kindness in actions and displays her gentle (but very passionate!) spirit makes me simply impressed at the young woman she is becoming. It is an incredible thing to think of where the last 5 years of my life has taken me… being involved in the lives of kids that regularly make me laugh and challenge all of the “when I have kids someday” thoughts I had through college. They make all the efforts of growing a business and my understandings of life so very worth it.. Here’s to another 50 birthdays together Lennon!
It was her party and she was still spending a good amount of her time hanging out with her little brother. She really is a great “mother duck” to the littles of our house.
What are these photos about?
Note to self for future evening birthday parties: No matter how cute the pictures of your toddler son cramming a cupcake into his face are, it’s not worth the next two hours of how your life will be. Trust me on this one.
Gradyn was not impressed…
Don’t act like you aren’t impressed. She’s all mine folks :)
