The beginning

I met these two diverse souls from an email. As luck may have it, we received their info from a list of engaged couples and sent our regular “we don’t like spam, but we kind of love LOVE” email out and they responded! RIGHT OFF I knew we were going to get along because their emails were fun and sarcastic and sincere (just like I like)!! We set up our first “skype date” to see if we were right for their wedding story and they said YES! Haha!! Seriously though, these two have kept me laughing and enjoying my work in a fresh way this season and it is my pleasure to introduce you to Chris + Payal (say it like pile). :) Happy Engagement you two! The Hilton Downtown Columbus has SOOO many cool architectural features including this GREAT spiral staircase in the main lobby!

We had to dodge the large amounts of little cheer persons (cheerleaders and parents) that were using the walkway to go back and forth between the hotel and the convention center but these two danced anyways!

I have taken pictures of a LOT of wedding and engagement rings… I have NEVER had the pleasure of shooting one that shined like this though! The different colors that came out in the reflections of this STUNNING Alexandrite stone literally made me stare at it while I was taking the photos!

When we were emailing and talking about where we were going to go for the engagement shoot, one of the things I asked was “what do you you all like to do in your free time?” They shot back that the address and name to this super cool board game venue that they thought would be fun since they like to play games together! Kingmakers Board Game Parlour turned out to be a great spot for pictures as well as just a cool place in general! Where do you know of that you can choose from HUNDREDS of games (with the normal playing time and difficulty level labeled on each box!!) AND have a beer or glass of wine from a TAP!?? SOOOO COOOL!
